Magnolia (“Maggie”) is a very sweet little girl. She was found wandering near a busy intersection just south of downtown Indy. She was very skinny and kept her distance but she did not run away. After a few minutes and several treats she was willing to be picked up and put in the car. Even though she was shaking and scared from being picked up by a stranger she nuzzled her head asking to be petted once she was in the car. She clearly needed some love and someone to help her!

Maggie has been boarding at a rescue kennel. They say she is behaving wonderfully well and gets along with everyone. She likes to play with the other dogs and very much enjoys human attention. She has not caused any problems and is popular with the staff.

Since Maggie is stuck at a kennel due to lack of available foster home space at the moment we really hope she will find a home soon. She has already transformed from a fearful little girl to a tail wagging little bundle of joy who can’t wait to go places but is just as excited to get back to the familiar kennel too. She seems to be appreciating the most basic things like regular meals, friendly attention and a warm, safe, indoor place to sleep. The kennel is certainly a nice upgrade from street life and she gets to play in daycare every day, but she really needs a family to love her and a place to call home.
